Graduation Procedures

Deadline to submit graduation applications is Friday, Feb. 11, 2011

The application for Graduation is available in the office of Student Records and on-line. There are 4 important steps that must be followed in the specific order listed on the Graduation application. Those steps are:

  1. Fill out the top of the application and make sure your personal information is up-to-date in the Records Office.
  2. Have your advisor complete and sign the application.
  3. Take the application to the bookstore and pay the $30 non-refundable application fee and obtain their signature.
  4. AFTER all other steps have been completed, submit the application to the Registrar’ Office.

The application for Graduation MUST BE submitted as least ONE semester PRIOR to the anticipated graduation date. For those
graduating in the Spring of any year, it is vital that the application be submitted in the Fall Semester no later than December 15th.
For students who will complete their requirements Summer it is required that the application for graduation be submitted by
Friday, February 11, 2011. 

After the completed graduation application is received and processed in the Registrar’s office, a letter will be mailed to the student confirming the name and degree to be printed on the diploma and on the graduation ceremony program. This letter will also contain specific graduation procedures.

Waycross College only holds one graduation ceremony a year which is held in May. All students who have completed requirements in the Summer, Fall and Spring terms of a school year are strongly encouraged to participate.

Students wishing to receive their degree in absentia must submit a letter to the office of the Vice-President and Dean of Academic Affairs.

All Associate of Arts and Associate of Science students must successfully complete the Regents’ Testing Program in the University System of Georgia.
