Dr.
Neil Aspinwall, Vice President for Enrollment & Student Services.
Dr. Aspinwall began his career in education more than 20 years ago.
He began as a classroom teacher at Glynn Academy High School in
Brunswick before moving into higher education and serving as Vice
President of Economic Development at Okefenokee Technical College.
He has also served as Director of Instruction (evening division)
and Director of Adult Education at Okefenokee Technical College.
Dr. Aspinwall earned an Ed.D. in Educational Administration
from Georgia Southern University. He also earned an Ed.S. and M.Ed.
in School Administration and Supervision and a bachelor's in Education,
all from Georgia Southern. Dr. Aspinwall and his wife Teresa have
two sons - Marcus and Marshall. Dr. Aspinwall enjoys fishing, hunting,
four wheeler riding, and attending the various sporting events in
which his youngest son participates.
Ms.
Karen Boss, Director of Student Records/Registrar, Student Services.
Ms.
Boss comes to Waycross College with 23 years of experience at the
University of Miami as the Graduate Studies Coordinator/Administrator.
Ms. Boss holds a BSEd degree from Florida International University.
She moved to Georgia in 2005 and taught in the Tift County School
System. Karen was born and raised in Miami. She has two grown sons
who both live in California and is an avid animal lover. Her father
was the Fire Chief for the City of Miami for 37 years and her mother
was an artist who painted portraits of President Johnson and Lady
Bird that hung in the White House while President Johnson was in
office. When asked about her goals for her new position, she states
“I want the Student Services Division to grow through a supportive
and friendly atmosphere and better meet the educational needs and
objectives, both academically and emotionally, of the students in
Southeast Georgia."
Mr.
Robert Wingfield, Assistant Director for Admissions. Rob was
born in Waycross, Georgia. He moved to Jacksonville, Florida and
graduated from Ribault H.S. He worked at Champion International
in Waycross for 7 years. He went back to school at Waycross College
and Valdosta State University where he earned his BBA in Business
Management. He has one son, Derrick, age 14 years.
Mrs.
Angela Holland, Assistant Director for Student Support.
She has two daughters, Kayla
and Kaitlyn Holland. Family hobbies include traveling, especially
to Wild Adventures, sporting events, and outdoor activities. Angela
received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education
from Valdosta State University in 1999, and began working at Waycross
College in January 2001.
Ms.
Peggy Moore, Admissions Clerk I. Ms.
Peggy Moore was born and raised in Miami, moved to Waycross Georgia
in 1984 and began working at Waycross College in 1996. She has a
daughter Crystal, two granddaughters, Rhiannon and Kiersten, and
one step grandson Mitchell.
Ms.
Nancy Allen, Secretary, Student Services. Nancy is the
eldest of 4 children. She has 2 brothers and 1 sister. Her father
is a retired Southern Baptist preacher and her mother is a retired
school teacher. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma and graduated from
Okeene H.S. in Okeene, OK. She previously worked at Nacogdoches
H.S. in Nacogdoches, TX for 2 years, then moved to Katy, Texas and
was employed at James E. Taylor H.S. for 3 years as their financial
clerk. She transferred to Katy ISD Administration Office as the
secretary for Student Support Services for 4 years. She has 5 grown
children; Chris, Caleb, Casey, John and Beth and 2 granddaughters;
Jessica and Sarah.
Swamp
Fox, College Mascot. Swamp
Fox is the beloved mascot for Waycross College. You will see this
lively creature at various student activities, orientation and other
special events. Always ready with a smile and a wave and full of
WC spirit, Swamp Fox spreads cheer and good will on our college
campus.
Tracey
Davis, Secretary for ASC, MAP, and PREP.
Tracey is married to Benji Davis. She has a daughter, Taylor. They
have a Rat Terrier, Ozzy. She has an Associate of Arts in Sociology
and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Waycross College.
She has been working at Waycross College since August 2001.
