Multicultural Student Association (MSA)

WHAT:

The club is open to diverse individuals in the college community and the goals are to celebrate our diversity and promote and support multicultural activities on and off campus.

These are some of activities that the club has participated in:

  • Fundraising activities in support of American Red Cross Disaster Relief 2004
  • Theater Attendance - Waycross Community Theater, Times Union-Moran Theater- "Madea Goes to Jail"
  • Concert attendance - Brian McKnight concert at Wild Adventures, Valdosta, 2005.
  • Expositions - Black Expo, Prime Osborn Convention Center
  • Parades - MLK Jr. Parade, Waycross Christmas Parade.
  • Panel Discussion - "Misconceptions about World Religions"
  • Luncheons- Latin American luncheon at Satilla Annex, Beijing Restaurant, Luncheon meeting at Carlos' Venezuelan
  • and Cajun Restaurant.
  • Campus activities - International Music Festival, International Spring Fling 2007, Fashion Show - Afro-centric Fashion Show 2005, Portraits of Courage: African Americans You Should Have Known
