The Minority Advising Program has expanded these programs to include peer tutoring which has been identified as the most beneficial conponent of the MAP program.

The Academic Support Center also provides group peer tutoring sessions for all students. As part of the Early Warning System, faculty members identify students who are experiencing problems in their classes to the MAP coordinator. These students are contacted and offered free, one-on-one tutoring. On an average, eleven students were tutored each quarter through the MAP tutoring component. Students in both Developmental Studies and Arts and Sciences can be tutored through the Peer Tutoring Component of the Minority Advising Program.
