

Use of the Waycross College
Library collection, facilities, and services is extended to members of the general
public. Residents of the Waycross - Ware County and surrounding service areas
may obtain a Community User card to checkout library materials.
A valid driver's license
or picture ID is required for registration. There is no fee for an initial card.
However, a $2.00 fee is charged for replacement cards. Children must be 13 years
of age and over to obtain an individual library card. Parents must sign a release
form for children under 18 years of age upon registration.
Children must be
supervised at all times and are not to be left unattended in the Library.
The following circulation
policies apply:
- Up to 5 items
may be borrowed at any one time.
- Books have a
3-week loan period. Audiovisual materials may be checked out for one
week.
- Please return
materials when they are due. Renewals are not permitted. You may
recheck an item after it has been returned to the library and available for
checkout by other patrons for a period of one week.
- Library users
are responsible for any fines and fees incurred. The current overdue
fine is $.20 per day for books and $.50 per day for audiovisuals (videos).
Library patrons are responsible for the replacement costs of lost and damaged
materials as well as applicable processing fees. See

Services:
- Magazines, journals,
newspapers, and reference books are available for in-house library use.
- A coin-operated
photocopier is located in the library.
Copies are .10 cents per side.
The library does not furnish change for copies, but the machine does take
paper dollars.
- A coin-operated
microfilm/fiche reader/printer is available for viewing and for printing at
$.10 per sheet, correct change only. The library does not furnish change.
- Individual reference
assistance is available during library hours. Our reference staff's first
priority, however, is to assist Waycross College Students.
- Library workshops
are scheduled each semester and/or by request. Community users are welcome
to attend if space is available. Please ask at the Circulation Desk.
- Community patrons
may use library computers to conduct research if they are not occupied by
Waycross College students. A time limit may apply. Please see Computer Use
Guidelines.
It is the responsibility
of community patrons to pay for all computer printouts. Printouts are .10
per sheet and payable at the Circulation Desk. You must pay for all sheets that
you print out.
Ineligible Services:
Community users
are not eligible for Interlibrary Loan, Gil Express (Universal Borrowing among
USG institutions), access to the GALILEO password (for off-campus use), or borrowing
Faculty Reserve Items.
