GIL ONLINE CATALOG

The online catalog at Waycross College is referred to as the GIL (Galileo Interconnected Libraries) catalog. Search the catalog for books, videos and DVD's. Approximately 33,000 print books are available in the WC Library. The GIL catalog also contains links to over 27,000 electronic books.

Want More Electronic Books? Search the ebrary electronic book database containing over 23,000 current titles. Click on “Other ebooks” on the Library Home Page; select "ebrary".

Health related information can be found in "Gale Virtual Reference" accessed from the Library Home Page. Over 9,000 documents from over 20 reference books are available through this reference resource.

You have a choice of 2 search interfaces in GIL: Classic GIL and GIL-Find (new).

Classic GIL – In addition to key word search, you can access subject headings, an author index and by call number. New titles are added instantly!

GIL-Find – This new interface allows you to mark favorites and add comments. You can text call number information to your cell phone! You can link to book reviews. New titles are available the next day.

Can’t find what you need in the Waycross College catalog? Click on the "GIL Universal Catalog" and search the combined catalogs of libraries within the University System of Georgia. Waycross College students, faculty and staff have access to all eligible circulating materials of the USG libraries through remote requesting or by visiting the campus on site. Eligible USG students, faculty and staff can borrow books by self-requesting items in the Universal Catalog. Delivery of items will be by the GIL Express Service. You may have the book delivered to any USG library and return the book to any USG library.
