THE
TRIP: To

THE
COURSE:
The SABR course will fit
into Area B
(Institutional Options) core for the Associate of Arts or Associate of
Science
degrees. Students working toward a major in General/Interdisciplinary
Studies
or in Health and Physical Education who have already earned 3 credit
hours in
Area B may choose to use this course as an elective in area F.
The classroom portion of
this course SABR
course is taught online, which means that students will have class
online and only
need to come into the physical classroom 2-3 times during the semester.
SABR
will be offered via GeorgiaView Vista. There is a link to GeorgiaView
Vista
from the Quick Links menu of the main Waycross College web site.

There is no requirement for
a student
who wishes to go on the SABR trip to take the course. The
student will not receive college credit
for the trip if the student does not take the course.

This trip is open to
members of the
community. Members of the community do
not have to take the SABR course.
There is a club on campus
called Globetrotters whose purpose is to learn
about
foreign countries and to educate and help students in funding
opportunities for
the SABR trip travel. All students who join Globetrotters and who
participate
in fund raising are eligible for the money raised by fund raising. It
is
divided up equally.
Financial aid money can be
used to pay
for SABR and for study abroad travel. However, most students will wish
to look
into other options to obtain funding as well. There are a number of
