The Educational Assistance and Student Engagement (E.A.S.E.) Center

General Information

The Waycross College E.A.S.E. Center offers a relaxed atmosphere where students can work on projects, plan student events, get help with classes, meet with instructors, or just relax. We have computers for use in Word Processing, student e-mail, internet access, and various specialized course-related computer programs. There are also instructional aides for English, reading, math, science, humanities, foreign languages, as well as practice tests for the Regents' test, and COMPASS math and reading tests. If you require personalized attention, you can turn to our staff of student tutors for assistance in most courses.
However, the E.A.S.E. is not just a place you go when in need of help. We also have a large variety of periodicals, novels, and board games for students to read and relax between classes. Although talking is permitted and encouraged in the E.A.S.E., we do ask that everyone keep noise to a minimum, and please do not bring small children. The E.A.S.E. is located in the Student Services Building.

Testing Center

The Testing Center is a division within the E.A.S.E. Center. As the name implies, it is a place where tests are given for almost any subject. The lab is staffed by E.A.S.E. staff and the hours are limited and subject to change. Proctoring services are available by appointment  only.   Testing Center hours are 8 AM – 2 PM, Monday – Thursday.    Proctoring Services are $5.00 per test.

The Tutors

Our student tutors must possess a 3.0 overall G.P.A. and are recommended by instructors. Some tutors are especially proficient in math, others in English, and some are excellent in both. If you need help in a particular subject, don't be afraid to ask which tutor might best be able to help, then make an appointment with that tutor.
