WC uses balanced attack for third straight win

December 30, 2010

In their first game since the Christmas break, the Waycross College Swamp Foxes utilized a balanced attack on both sides of the ball Dec. 30 to pull away from the TAAG Academy of Tampa, Fla., 77-61.

Adam McLeod led all scorers with 14 points.  Joe Williams and Reco Lewis both finished with double-doubles.  Williams had 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Lewis finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

For the second straight time, WC (10-2, 1-1 GJCAA) managed to overcome an almost perfect free throw shooting performance by its opponent.  TAAG missed only two shots the entire game (18-for-20).  The Swamp Foxes, though, turned in a stellar performance of their own by out-rebounding TAAG, 59-32.

WC’s home stand continues Tuesday night, Jan. 4, when the Swamp Foxes host Central Georgia Technical College.  Tip for the game is set for 7 p.m.

Admission to all regular season home games is five dollars with children five and under admitted free.
