General Fund - Unrestricted Donations
Unrestricted donations may be made to the Foundation in any amount. Funds are used for college priorities such as special projects and programs, student, staff and faculty development, equipment, etc. Unrestricted donations are always welcome and needed to assist the College.

Building Excellence for the Students of Tomorrow (BEST)
The citizens of Waycross and the surrounding communities can be counted on to pull together. Waycross College came into being when the community purposed to provide local young people the opportunity to experience the wonders of an expanded worldview through higher education. The community fought hard to insure that students would be able to begin a college education close to home. It is in this context that the concept for the BEST (Building Excellence for the Students of Tomorrow) Fund became a reality.

Building Excellence for the Students of Tomorrow is an endowed fund that allows the Foundation to preserve established programs and to build on the excellence for which Waycross College is known. The BEST Fund generates needed funding, independent of state support, to provide students the full college experience. A contribution to the BEST Fund is an investment in the future of our community.

Endowments
Endowments require a total contribution of $20,000 made in yearly installments or in a single donation. An endowment is a perpetual gift in that interest only is used, never the principal. Endowments may be established for special projects or to assist students with scholarships or grants. Click here to see a current listing of Waycross College Foundation endowments.

Postsecondary Readiness Enrichment Program (PREP)
The Waycross College PREP program began in 1996. The focus of the program is to provide an academic and outreach initiative to prepare middle and high school students and their parents for post-secondary education. PREP’s service area currently includes Appling, Bacon, Brantley, Charlton, Pierce, and Ware counties. PREP students are chosen based on risks that may interfere with their chances of going to college: single-parent family, first-generation college graduate, or eligibility for free or reduced school lunch. Donations in support of the PREP program help to provide educational and rewarding experiences that encourage students to complete their college preparatory curriculum.

Adults Start College Program
This program focuses on assisting adults who have been out of high school or college for five or more years and have earned fewer than fifteen transferable semester hours (or twenty quarter hours). Students are eligible to receive a grant equal to in-state tuition for one course at Waycross College. Applicants must complete the admissions process.

International Study Abroad Program
This program provides visible incentive, merit recognition, and financial assistance for Waycross College students to pursue education abroad.

David Johns Fund for Students with Learning Disabilities
This fund was created by the Waycross College Student Government Association and funded through the generosity of various donors in memory of David Johns, an instructor in learning support English at Waycross College from September 1993 through December of 1997. The fund exists to assist students with the cost of testing through the Regents Center for Learning Disorders.
