The Waycross College Foundation, Inc. was established in the fall of 1976. The Foundation is a non-profit and tax-exempt organization. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote higher education at Waycross College, expand educational opportunities for individuals in the Waycross College service area, create scholarships, acquire funds to continue the building of an endowment, and promote research, the proceeds of which will guarantee continuing support for the established goals of the Foundation.

The Foundation is governed by the Board of Trustees, which is selected from and by the membership of the Foundation. The Trustees are a group of dedicated community individuals and College administrators.

The Waycross College Foundation, Inc. supports Waycross College in many ways. The Foundation serves the college by providing academic scholarships to honor students, providing assistance to students with a financial need, providing funds to enable College faculty and staff to pursue professional development opportunities, providing financial assistance to the College's non-traditional students through the Adults Start College Grant Program, providing financial support by matched state grants, and providing public service. The Foundation is dedicated to assuring that every qualified student can afford to attend Waycross College.
