AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE III

ANTIQUE CLOCK REPAIR CLUB

Do you have a clock in need of some repairs? Maybe you inherited a clock from a grandparent and now is the time to get it working. Do you have an interest in Horology (the Science of Time, Clocks, Watches and Timekeeping)? If so, find that clock and dust it off because Waycross College is hosting an Antique Clock Repair Club. Those enrolled in the class are encouraged to bring their own clocks to work on. Please limit the size of your clocks to what you can easily carry. This club is for anyone from the novice to the expert. There will be seasoned members to help anyone new to Antique Clock repairs. They work on movement type clocks, time and strike or time only. BATMAN: THE SEMINAR

This course will focus on Batman and his world. Highlights will include a brief history of the character, an analysis of Batman from different eras and perspectives, and a discussion of how the character has been adapted to other media, such as motion pictures and television. CREATIVE WRITING

Explore new techniques, become more creative, and find out how to have your work printed in Waycross College’s literary magazine in this fun eight-week course taught by Mr. Levi Herrin, a certified Language Arts teacher. CULT MOVIES

This course will center on the exciting world of cult movies. We will watch some of these movies, focusing on the mystique surrounding some of the most important cult films (“The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Repo Man,” “Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn,” “The Big Lebowski,” “Office Space”) and the cult-like followings behind otherwise mainstream movies (“The Wizard of Oz,” “2001: A Space Odyssey”). First Aid/CPR

Need to earn your First Aid/CPR certification quickly? Then sign up for our First Aid/CPR class, held the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00 am-5:00 pm, and learn from instructors trained by the American Red Cross and certified to teach CPR/First Aid. INSTANT PIANO FOR HOPELESSLY BUSY PEOPLE:

Knitting

Learn Beginning Knitting. The first night of class the instructor will have some knitting needles, yarn, and some basic patterns for you to look over. After you have decided exactly which item you want to make, the next week you will bring in your own needles and yarn. If you have a pattern that you want to bring in, the instructor will go over it with you. She can teach right-handed as well as left-handed. LIFE & HEALTH INSURANCE PRE-LICENSING

Life and Health Insurance Pre-Licensing is 40-hour preparation course for the Agents' Life and Health Examination given by the State of Georgia. Each student will need to supply his/her own text. For more information about this course, phone Mr. John Penland at 912-285-8964.

 

LINE DANCING 7 TO 70

Students will learn several dances, including Good Times, Candy Man, Shift Work, All Summer Long, It's Alright, Outta Touch, Barefootin', Get In Line, Bad Bad Leroy Brown, and Stroll Along Cha Cha.
