Swamp Foxes fall to Warriors

In a back-and-forth affair that featured 11 lead changes, the Middle Georgia College Warriors defeated the Waycross College Swamp Foxes Thursday night, 58-52.

Darius Tookes led the Swamp Foxes (15-7, 5-5 GCAA) with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Kelcey Walker finished with nine points, six assists, and two steals.  Andrew Lawrence rounded out the top scorers with eight points and five rebounds.

“This was a tough loss, but we must bounce back Saturday.  I know myself and the guys will continue to work hard to try and get a streak of wins together,” said head coach Cory Baldwin.

WC will host Central Georgia Tech this Saturday in another important conference matchup.  Tip for the game is set for 7 p.m.

General admission to all regular season home games is five dollars with children five and under admitted free.
