SWAINSBORO - The Waycross College Swamp Foxes’ balanced scoring attack on the road Jan. 11 wasn’t enough to overtake the East Georgia College Bobcats. WC lost to East Georgia, 80-74.
Adam McLeod led the Swamp Foxes (11-3, 1-1 GCAA) with 23 points. Darius Tookes finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Stan Maxwell had 10 points and seven rebounds. Kelcey Walker finished with seven points, but also had five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
WC returns home this Saturday, Jan. 14 for another conference game against Atlanta Metro. Tip for the game is set for 7 p.m.
Head coach Cory Baldwin says Saturday’s game will be a “blackout,” and encourages fans to wear black to the game. Baldwin said the Swamp Fox concession area will have black t-shirts for sale Saturday.
General admission to all regular season home games is five dollars with children five and under admitted free.Waycross College has been a proud member of the University System of Georgia since the college’s founding in 1976.
