WC softball to host preseason tournament Saturday

Waycross College’s women’s softball team will host a preseason round-robin tournament this Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Trembling Earth Complex in Waycross.

In addition to the Swamp Foxes, the five-team tournament will include the Central Florida Sting, Florida Superior, Jacksonville Bandits, and St. Johns Prime.

According to WC’s head softball coach Bryan Hartley, each team will play one game against the remaining teams.  The Swamp Foxes will open the tournament at 9 a.m. against the Jacksonville Bandits.  WC’s remaining three games will be at 11 a.m. (vs. Central Florida Sting), 3 p.m. (vs. Florida Superior), and 5 p.m. (vs. St. Johns Prime).

The event is the only scheduled home date for WC this fall.  The Swamp Foxes’ regular season begins in January.
