Our Athletes will experience a program that is different than any other program in the Nation. Our program is designed to teach athletes the key elements that will make their current and future lives more successful. We do this in a family environment where we truly care about our Student Athlete’s personal, educational, as well as athletic needs. We feel there is more to an athletic program than just the success of winning games. We believe true success comes from the following skills that will be taught in each sport we offer:

With the mastery of the above skills, our athletes will play at the top of their game, obtain a quality education and have the means necessary to excel in life after their College education is complete. We believe that all of the knowledge and education in the world is useless without the ability to put that knowledge to use. Athletes that complete our program will be ready to apply the knowledge they learn towards a prosperous future. Our graduates will be mature and prepared for moving to the next level of collegiate athletics, or for moving up to professional athletics, yet most importantly, life after athletics.

HEADLINES:
Waycross College will now begin competing in collegiate athletics again in the fall of 2009. Waycross College has not participated in collegiate athletics since winning the NJCAA Division II Golf Championship in 1992.
Our Men's Basketball will begin in the fall of 2009
Signed Basketball Players for the 2009 - 2010 season.
We are now beginning to recruit women fastpitch softball players for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

Waycross College athletes will be training with Eye-Q.

Waycross College will be the 1st Certified Eye-Q Institute in the nation. Our athletic department will use Eye-Q to enhance our athletes reading speeds in order to improve their academic performance. This learning system has also been known to increase peripheral vision and hand eye coordination which will lead to better performance athletically.

Waycross College has hired Cory Baldwin, former Truett-McConnell (TMC) Head Basketball Coach, as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach to lead Waycross College’s inaugural collegiate basketball season. Coach Baldwin had a 53 win and 39 loss record during his three years at TMC, which is the 3rd best record in the GJCAA conference over that time period. Impressive results considering that TMC offered the least amount of scholarships and had the highest tuition in the conference. During his time at TMC, he had 21 guys sign scholarships to four-year colleges which was the most in the conference during that same time period. He also had the best defensive stats in the conference for three straight years. Prior to his three years at TMC, Coach Baldwin served as Assistant Coach at Clayton State University for seven years. Coach Baldwin has a Bachelors of Science in Health Care Management from Clayton State University and a Masters of Arts in Instructional Education from Central Michigan.
