Waycross Academics: The Foundation of Excellence
The academics program at Waycross College is top-notch, and one of the strongest among Georgia two-year colleges. It’s been said that if you succeed at Waycross College then you’re going to be prepared to succeed anywhere you go once you leave. While we take great pride in the strength of our academics, we also take great pride in the preparatory and support programs that we provide in order to help ensure that our students do succeed.
Waycross College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate of Arts Degree, the Associate of Science Degree, the Associate of Applied Science Degree, and Certificates in Teaching, General Business, and Accounting.
Transfer Credits
Waycross College is a unit of the University System of Georgia; credits earned within college transfer programs at the College are transferable to all other institutions within the University System.
The major areas of concentration for college transfer are available in biological sciences, business administration, chemistry, computer information systems, criminal justice, English, general and interdisciplinary studies, health and physical education, history, mathematical subjects, political science, psychology, physics, pre-nursing, sociology, and teacher education.
