
This curriculum web is being developed by an administrative professional in post-secondary education whose degress is in Middle Grades Education. This concern derived from personal experiences that enlightened her to pursue college. The developer of this curriculum web feels as if at-risk middle school students and their parents need encouragement for them to pursue post-secondary education. The general activites will focus on academic and outreach initiatives in the community and surrounding areas.
The activities in this web are designed for middle school level students in the 7th or 8th grades. They will be college capable and want to pursue a college career after high school. They will be from single parent homes, first generation to attend college, or eligible for free/reduced lunch. They will not be a certain number of students chosen due to race or sex.
